Taxi App for iOS and Android
Azoft partnered with a design and software company operating in Norway, which specializes in application and web development for mobile platforms. We started our collaboration by completing a free test project that left the client very satisfied with the quality of our services. Eventually they subcontracted to us the development of an Android and iPhone application with location awareness.
Develop an Android and an iPhone application for taxi ordering with mapping and LBS functionality.
"We are growing fast at the moment and become one of top 3 app companies in Norway. A stronger partnership and growth with Azoft has become a crucial part of our growth strategy. We shifted our business from our Egyptian partner to you." — CEO, Top 3 Mobile & Web App Development Company in Norway
The client required mobile application dedicated to locating and ordering the nearest taxi cab in Norway when they approached us. They were looking for a team with strong experience in both platforms: iPhone and Android.
The iPhone application was to be ported to the Android platform preserving the look & feel of the original. The graphical interface of Android version was adjusted to completely match the one of the iPhone version.
Application allows users to locate, order and use Direct-to-car feature to get directions to the nearest taxi. Solution provides multilingual support and is available in English and Norwegian.
iPhone, Android, XML
The development of Android graphical interface that replicates the iPhone app GUI takes considerably more time than the same development on iPhone, or even on Android with the standard Android GUI elements. Our team has succeeded in bridging this gap. Now Azoft has a pull of all this extensive hand coding samples for Android and can provide our clients with really fast porting services from iPhone to Android and vice versa.
Norwegian users can use the taxi ordering application on their iPhones or on Android handsets to find the nearest available taxi cab and call for it or walk to it using the displayed route.
