Azoft partnered with a US-based telecom company to develop a proof-of concept mobile top-up application that was developed into a complete solution available for the telecom
Android application was developed based on the existing iPhone application. The solution allows customers to securely login into their account and assign a debit or credit card to it. They can then purchase air time right within the app.
The solution also supports payment input from scratch cards. Customer can review the history of purchases and access other services provided by the company right from the application.
Apart from its main functionality the application needed a way of engaging customers into further activity with the telecom operator. This was realized with an ad engine smoothly integrated into the application. The ads are shown in a non-distractive manner, thus keeping customers focused on the main aspect of the application, and at the same time offering them to explore new venues with the company.
The solution introduced a new way for the telecom operator to increase ARPU, and the customers received a new convenient way of managing their subscription services.
